Lace is purchased by nominal width, but garments are cut from the usable patterned area. A full-width measurement can include edge zones that cannot be placed in the marker. If the buyer prices from nominal width while the pattern team works from usable width, fabric consumption and panel placement can be misjudged.
Motif repeat determines how often a pattern unit occurs across and along the fabric. It affects symmetry, paired garment parts, cup placement and visual continuity across seams. A reference image without a ruler or full-width view does not give the mill enough information to reproduce the intended scale.

A stretch lace sample can look balanced while relaxed and change noticeably in use. Compare the same sample area in the relaxed state and under the extension agreed for the project. Record the direction and comparison conditions so that later samples are judged on the same basis.

Close each review with one explicit result. Seeing or discussing a sample is not the same as approving every field for bulk production.

How should a stretch lace sample be checked?
A stretch lace review should connect measurable extension with the appearance and construction of the garment.
